Just replaced the front diff for the second time.
Anyone have similar issues - is there an upgrade to the front diff or build to take increased torque?

What’s the heaviest diff fluid anyone is running?

everything lol.
you can see the damage in the pics plus the bearing is shot.

Bearing race got ate up. Same issue happened the first time?

I can see the bearing. Not many reports of front diffs imploding even on high HP Explorers. Not a lot of fluid capacity up front. I change driveline fluids every 30k for cheap insurance. I run full synthetic 90/140.

yeah pretty much. first one was covered under warranty but this one is out of pocket. looking for solutions. heavier fluid changed more often maybe ‍♂️

dealership just using OEM synthetic 75W-140. I'll suggest the 90-140

Nobody makes any upgraded units unfortunately.

It’s Mobil 1 75-140. Last number more important as it’s viscosity hot. I doubt it’s gear lube related unless they are using some really cheap stuff.

How long did each last?
