I tried ForScan today:
First: I tried to backup the modules. I made a mistake and merely saved the Diagnostics. Luckily, I made notes on what was changed. I was just in the wrong menu.
Second: I attempted the simplest modification - Bambi Mode. I was greeted by somewhat plain English descriptors rather than HexDec. Successful Change.
Next: I tried Global Window Close -- Failed. No adverse effect. I may try again, but then will revert to as built.
FENG: I somehow got to HexDec readout (I don't know how) and found I had an "8" in the leading digit of the area to change. I didn't know what to do... so I stopped.
Later, I found this in ACM Menu:
Cyclone Chimes (CC) • ANC (ANC) • ESE/Propulsion Sound (ESEPS) • My Seat Space (MSS)
727-01-02 xxxx x*xx xx-- 0 = CC Disabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Disabled 8 = CC Enabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Disabled
1 = CC Disabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Enabled 9 = CC Enabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Enabled
2 = CC Disabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Disabled A = CC Enabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Disabled
3 = CC Disabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Enabled B = CC Enabled • ANC Disabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Enabled
4 = CC Disabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Disabled C = CC Enabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Disabled
5 = CC Disabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Enabled D = CC Enabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Disabled • MSS Enabled
6 = CC Disabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Disabled E = CC Enabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Disabled
7 = CC Disabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Enabled F = CC Enabled • ANC Enabled • ESEPS Enabled • MSS Enabled
If I read this correctly, this should get rid of FENG without altering the Third Row Speaker Left Output 727-01-01 xxxx xxxx *xx--
I MAY try this. Any thoughts?
How am I getting plain English vs HexDec coding? How can I select HexDec?
I think I have to save the base code in the change menu... is that correct?
Am I off the rails in my thinking?
