I bought this Perimeter Plus Security module and hooked it up. Stashed the module on the left side of the driver's footwell, where the cables are going up behind the fusebox.
Zip-tied it there and set the sensitivity down to around 1/4.
Locked the car. Waited. Banged on the driver-side window. Nothing. Banged on the windshield and heard a single honk.
Ok. Walked away and heard the first random honk. Then again. Drove over to an empty parking lot to not piss my neighbors off and just let the locked car sit there. Random honks. All the time. Sometimes twice in a row, sometimes 10 min apart.
I ripped the module out, but let the harness in.
Has anybody retrofitted this specific module? Where is a good spot to mount it? How did you dial in the sensitivity?
