OK, This sounds silly, but here's the deal... I lost my key fob IN the car! I know it's in there because it starts and I didn't enact manual start or any other options! I have looked EVERYWHERE - All consoles, the glove and door compartments, under seats with a magnifying glass and flashlight and under all the mats and even though they're not in the back, I checked Everything! The car was running and they were NOT where I believed that I had them! (Inside the back center console compartment) I went back to a gas station that I gotten out to throw some trash away thinking that since the car was running, I might have accidentally thrown them away, so I went through the garbage! No Luck! I didn't stop the car, I just drove it home. It still started. It occurred to me that it might be in the house, but still able to detect it, To test that, I drove it a few miles from the house to where if it didn't start I could leave it and call my friend to pick me up or walk. But, it still started and no matter where I go, it starts! There is no indicator warning saying that it cannot locate the key fob, so it HAS to be IN the car. Before I lose my mind or dish out big bucks for a replacement... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
PS With ALL the advancements in technology (Since at least 1987 key locators have been available!) I know you can use air-tag or a similar app, but since the key fob is exclusive TO the car, why isn't there a beeper type locator button you can push inside the car that works at least within the range of the key fob?!
