I disagree. Doing anything through the dealer is time-consuming and a hassle. I DIY maintenance so I am not at the dealer getting maintenance already, so any warranty work is an extra 2 trips for me and usually involves leaving my car for the day. I ended up replacing parts myself even when i was covered by B2B warranty, just to save myself time. The only thing I let the dealer do under warranty was the downpipe replacement. Since warranty expired, the only thing major that I did was the FADA delete. Turned out to be about $300 in parts and not a big deal. With the money I saved on an extended warranty, I got more tools... at least that's my justification for purchase.
