Hello new and newer owners. I got an extended warranty 1 time in 40 years of owning Fords. With no regrets. This time, I wish I had!! Get one for as long as possible!!!
I’d definitely buy another ST, I really like driving it. But I would get an extended warranty!!

I totally understand this post is a year old. I always buy extended warranty. Used or new or coming off of a lease. At the end the day, as long as the warranty is from a stand up company such as the manufacturer or even 3rd party such as Assurant. Well worth it.

I disagree. Doing anything through the dealer is time-consuming and a hassle. I DIY maintenance so I am not at the dealer getting maintenance already, so any warranty work is an extra 2 trips for me and usually involves leaving my car for the day. I ended up replacing parts myself even when i was covered by B2B warranty, just to save myself time. The only thing I let the dealer do under warranty was the downpipe replacement. Since warranty expired, the only thing major that I did was the FADA delete. Turned out to be about $300 in parts and not a big deal. With the money I saved on an extended warranty, I got more tools... at least that's my justification for purchase.

Ive used Route 66 on my SHO and my wife's Wrangler. They paid for 2 water pump/timing chain R&R on my Taurus, and currently covering the miss the Jeep dealership has been trying to repair for 8 weeks. Bill is north of $10k so far, Ive paid nothing.
I have Ford Platinum on my ExST, as provided by Ford during cash and keep deal.
