Hi All,
Due to having DPs and mid pipes installed, the exhaust system had been pushed backward a bit, causing a rattle at the left rear muffler. This rattle occurred consistently between 13 & 17K RPM.
I had an exhaust mechanic push it back forward to alleviate the problem but now, I've developed a drone in the same RPM area. They said I need a new resonator. The system is stock from the mid pipes back.
Just wanted to get some thoughts and input to see if anyone has had a like resonator problem and what you did to resolve it.
Thanks in advance.

Either you have a leak now or it's still contacting somewhere. The stock exhaust should be pretty quiet, DP or no DP.

Agreed, it's been pretty quiet since I installed the DPs a year ago. I rechecked the exhaust while the vehicle was still on the lift and it seemed pretty suspended and free of contact.
One of the technicians said he could hear the baffles loose in the resonator and he's seen that problem before in another ST.
I've been going to these guys for years and had no previous complaints. They've worked on several of my vehicles and are a custom exhaust shop.
I guess at this point, I'm going to go with their suggestion and replace the resonator. I just wanted to hear some suggestions before I did.
Thanks for the hit Cdubya.

Might have blow out the baffles or something like that. Did you check for cracks? Car acting weird other then that?

The tech said he heard a definite baffle problem. I didn't see any cracks but upon further inspection, I thought I heard an exhaust leak from inside the cabin while driving.
As far as the car acting weird, I have some CEL problems but that's another issue. It concerns O2 problems and an overboost code. Something to contact ZFG about.
