Engine Mount Replacement

My 2020 has been at the shop and after some diagnostic work they're saying both of the engine mounts are trashed and allowing the engine to move a lot under load. I have a 2020 with just under 70k so it's a bit surprising that they would already be done but has anyone had theirs replaced? If you can give me some feedback on cost as they're quoting 8 hours to replace 2 mounts I would appreciate it!

I myself haven’t heard of someone having to replace theirs yet, did they send you a pic of what they look like?

I couldn't find where anyone had posted about having them replaced and maybe I'm wrong but it feels like they should still be good. No pictures either but generally aligns with the symptoms I was having before it went in to the shop.

To do the FADA delete, you need to push the left engine mount out of the way. I would be VERY surprised if both of these robust mounts were trashed. What symptoms are you having? If it's vibration at a stop while in drive, I'd look at the trans rather than the engine mounts. You probably have to lower the subframe to get the motor mounts out. I believe there's just the left an right one. In any case, is this a Ford dealer saying this? I would get a second opinion.

It is a local shop that's just down the street from me that has good reviews because my local Ford dealer did warranty work for me last year but their process is drop it off and we'll see if we can get to it next month. The symptoms are while moving and not at all while stopped. It feels like if you had a giant rock in the tire when you begin to accelerate on the passenger side but it isn't constant. You may feel it in your feet for a moment or two when you accelerate and occasionally after shifts.

This shop also did say they believe the transmission mount to be shot which from some of what I've seen isn't a far reach so I've order the JXB mount for that. They also think think the insulator bushings from the rear subframe that the 2 bolts that go in to the differential are shot as well. This all combined is allowing the drive drain to have substantial movement pulling on the axles and causing the symptoms.

I now have the Fenfab diffy stiffy's coming, jxb rear busing insters and Houston Speed Freaks billet pinion bushings as well. Just struggling to justify an additional $2400 in parts in labor for those mounts.

When i said the trans, i did not mean the transmission mount, I meant the transmission. Plenty can go wrong and has for others. Also, if you still have the FADA or didn't address the FADA leak, those can be problematic. Front diff only holds 0.6 qt and the FADA leak can drain that in no time

I had transmission issues last year. Stuck valve bodies and fried clutches that were replaced by said Ford dealer who had my car for 45 days. This feels different than that did and my wife has been driving it for the last several months since I went back to a car. The feeling/symptom is rotational in that you feel it like it's coming from the axle as it rotates. No lights or codes coming up so nothing sensor related I believe.

An easy way to self verify is, open the hood, leave it up, put the the vehicle in drive. Stand on the brakes as hard a you can and quickly stab the throttle until the engine loads up a couple of times. Theres any side to side movements from the engine one of the engine mounts is fucked, similar deal in reverse.. i would not do this in the drive way preferably on a open road with no traffic or a big parking lot with no cars around ya.
