EGR?

I saw a YouTube video today that said the EGR on the 2026 ST precludes the need for a catch can.
Does anyone know anything about this, and if so, is it only on the 2026 MY, or was it also on the 2025s?

Thanks for the link/video - interesting info. I would not say that the catchcan is not needed due to the beefy PCV. My limited (mileage) experience is that oil does indeed collect in the catchcan. IIRC, I found 1 or 2 teaspoons after <1,000 miles of mostly city along with some highway driving.

Run a search for 'catchcan' and you should find some photos of oil collected along with the mileage driven in the collection period. Pretty good info, imo.

Thanks. I’ve been running a catch can on my F-150 3.5 for a couple of years, and hardly ever get anything out of it, so I’m curious as to how much the 3.0 will produce.

Interesting! I guess STs see more oil because they are driven in a more sporting manner or, maybe a catchcan is needed mostly after a tune is applied? More ST owner experience is needed to answer your question!

I don’t know. I have a mild tune on my F-150, and drive it pretty much like I drive the ST.Thanks again.

I don't really get much. I do 5K oil changes and check at the halfway mark and i get maybe 1 teaspoon out of it.

I'm just commuting mostly. An occasional rip here and there.
