Dog barriers with captains chairs?

Sorry for the onslaught of questions, but possibly picking up an ST this weekend. I've pretty much gotten down to a single concern, the captains chairs.

We will be putting dogs in the back from time to time, and going forward will also sometimes have a baby seat in the back. What are you guys doing to keep the dogs from walking through the rear console area? Our dogs are well trained, but very spoiled, and they love being as close to us as possible, which in a moving car with a child seat in the back seems like asking for issues. I'm certain there's something seeing as explorer is used for police work, in fact a neighbor has a k9 unit 2020 explorer, but was curious what other owners are doing.
