Yeah I spoke to thermal and looking forward to to that. Going to install the cvfab intercooler and downpipe next week. I spoke to the guys at cvfab and they said their downpipe will be fine with the gpf. Can you guys confirm that?
None of us would likely know, you're the first I've seen here with the GPF, I'd trust CVF's word over any of our opinions, which is all we have at this point.

For the 2026 model year, Ford has introduced Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPFs) to certain EcoBoost vehicles, including the 3.0L V6 engine available in the Ford Explorer ST. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Why Ford Added the GPF
As part of increasingly strict global and regional emissions standards (often referred to as "green state" requirements), Ford is rolling out GPFs across its lineup. The GPF acts like a diesel particulate filter, capturing fine soot and particulate matter directly from the exhaust stream of your direct-injection turbocharged engine before it exits the tailpipe. [3, 4]
Impact on the 2026 Explorer ST

• Vehicle Compatibility: Depending on the exact production market, some 2026 Explorer STs roll off the assembly line with a GPF equipped from the factory.
• Aftermarket Limitations: If you are shopping for aftermarket parts, such as an exhaust or cat-back system, you will need to pay close attention to GPF compatibility. Installing an exhaust designed for a non-GPF vehicle onto a GPF-equipped model will likely trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL) and require custom tuning.
• How to Check: Because only certain regions or batches get this filter, you should look up your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) with your parts dealer or check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information sticker under your hood to confirm if your specific model has a GPF. [1, 4]

There is also a big write-up on the 3.5L F150s.

Trying to find the post, but I believe it was posted elsewhere that the cut-in date for the GPF was around the mid-April timeframe.

So the funny thing is my local ford dealership said that I can swap out the exhaust and it’s not a problem even with it having the gpf (they’re definitely misinformed about this) but I did verify with the guys at cvfab that I can do their downpipe with no issues. I just have to wait on thermal to release the new exhaust for it. So downpipe, intercooler, intake and tune it is for now. Should have everything installed by the end of next week
