Rear seat rattles…I see people complaining all the time. It was driving me nuts too so I pulled both of them with the intent of deadening and decoupling everything that could possibly resonate. After I stripped all of the plastics, I could smack the seat back and they were completely quiet so I was convinced it was the plastics. I added CLD and CCF to all of the plastics and seat frame, reinstalled the seats and went for a drive…just to have the exact same rattles. Turns out all I needed was 2 bucks worth of pipe insulation jammed under the seat back and it’s been dead quiet for the last 3 days. Live and learn….I could have saved 5-6 hours and $100 in materials. So if your seats rattle try this. IMG_0650.jpeg IMG_0651.jpeg

So obviously that extra piece would fall out any time you fold the seat down so I looked and it’s just a simple reverse snap thing that holds the upholstery. Flip it open, I added even thicker pool noodle in there then zip the closure back up. 5 minutes for both sides and you’re done.
