No, that looks horrible. To each their own though, Emblem City for the win.

I guess I got ripped off then, but damn they look good! Nothing wrong with budget mods, but they will not look better than quality badging.

Guy posts terrible looking paint then gets pissy when someone points out it’s terrible looking paint. lol
And no, spraying them gloss won’t take away the wrinkle…that’s from the paint solvent interacting with the factory inlay.

He said he did it on purpose. To each their own I guess. I'll stick with the flat black inlays.

The paint spray did not interact with the inlay - I purposely crinkled it by glossing it before the black was dry - nobody’s pissy but you, the king of $h?t disturbers as usual
But it didn’t affect the border…riiiiight.

That’s called an edit…and I’ve painted a set myself. It crinkled the inner portion but not the edge…just like his. I call BS.

Once again people share and BrokenMan bashes them, by a dog - oh better not you’ll probably kick it
Wait…you said I was on your ignore list yesterday. Couldn’t do it, huh?

This is the correct answer. FWIW, I've had good luck in the past at preventing this by using clearcoat as a primer prior to base coating. That was with VHT and taillights though so you could probably use actual primer in this application.

In all honesty though, I would (and have) just get actual inlays that were cut to fit. You can get some decent ones for MUCH less than $175. Boca decals has some great stuff.

I initially tried the inlay route, but could never get it to line up correctly. In my humble opinion, just stop being cheap and pony up for either the ST emblem from Emblem City, or find someone selling the ST experience badges. Anything else just looks bad. Out Here!

Yep, definately the way to go if you're cheap. I got my inlays here: The OCD Plug. They fit nearly perfect. You just have to take your time. The S is a bee-yach to put in. But I think they look ok unless you get right up close.

Got mine from them a few months ago too. Pleasantly surprised at the fit, no peeling through several hand washes. didn't use the steering wheel sticker.
Was pissed that they stopped handing them out at the SUV experience. complained in the comments to Ford, they're handing them out again.
