We managed to make it a solid 3+ years before curbing the black wheels, and now we've got two with some fairly minor rash.

Did the obligatory search but didn't find anything conclusive -- has anyone settled on some decent touch up paint that matches the stock black wheels? I'm not looking for show car quality with a perfect sanding / blending, just looking to cover it up a bit until they're curbed again. After all, this is the family vehicle...

When I had my 22' ST I used a simple oil based black paint pen on rim chips. It looked fine but granted, they were only chips and not larger scuffing. For larger areas I would use a good quality spray paint and mask off appropriately. That's just my opinion.

Well, following up for those who find this via searching ...

Used this from amazon:
cocomfix Gloss Black Rim Touch Up Paint, Rim Paint, Car Wheel Scratch Repair Kit for Curb Rash & Scratches, Universal Black Enamel paint (1 fl oz), Scratch Resistant, Covers 1 sq ft per Coat

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WJWP2V8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Seems like a very close if not perfect match. Would buy again and will be using for the next curb rash...

If you're not looking for it, both the wife and myself think it passes the 5 foot test. And if you took the time to sand down the ridges from the curb rash you'd probably do pretty well closer than that, but since this is a daily driver family vehicle to me its not worth it to go through that effort.
