Car Battery Recommendations?

Good to hear, thanks! Did you go with the H7 because of higher CCAs? Any regrets?

I did it for audio reasons…more storage capacity.

The dominant manufacturer for many store brands like Duralast, DieHard, Interstate, and Everstart.

Buy from Costco. You won’t find an Interstate battery anywhere else for less. The savings nearly pays for the 1-year membership.

Thought that too but it turns out their 3 year warranty is pro-rated. Near the end of the warranty period, a full replacement will more than pay for Costco's membership.

Walmart's Everstart has a 4 year full replacement warranty for the same price. Also thinking of moving up to the H7 94R to get 850 CCA.

Ended up installing a H7 today from Walmart. I had planed on a H8 but the size scared me. After installing the H7 im 99% sure the H8 would have fit.

Reset my BMS and changed the battery to H7 in Forscan.

Yes, if need be, that's the very battery I'm going with. Did you go with the Platinum? I needed at least 800 CCA but I believe the Platinum is 850.

Went with the Platinum? AGM with 4 year full replacement warranty. According to the serial number it is a DN Auto battery from south Korea. Apparently it just depends on region in the US for what manufacturer you will get.

Yes, most of these makes come from 2 or 3 of the same plants. The Clarios company alone makes Interstate, Duracell, Diehard and Everstart batteries.

If I remember correctly, @UNBROKEN installed the H8 without issues. Don't hold me to that.

Think I saw that too but he remarked that it was tight!
