It’s about time for me to replace my battery. Any recommendations?

Get the best AGM you can afford, batteries cause more issues when you go cheap.

I was looking at the “Duralast Platinum 48 H6 AGM Battery” or the “Motorcraft BAGM-48H6-760 Battery”

When mine went bad a few months ago I had no choice but to go to Walmart.
Price was good and a full 4 year warranty. So far all is good.

Walmart Everstart Max AGM. Full 4 year replacement... none of that pro rate crap.

Walmarts open late on ever corner around the country, and as a bonus.... if they do not have a service center the wont even test the battery for a warranty swap.

Mine is 4.5 years old and was replaced under 3/36 warranty at 19 months old free of charge by Ford. I believe the replacement Motorcraft warranty still has some pro-rated coverage left on it. It recently seems like it's dying. The ASS hardly ever works anymore and the status screen says Vehicle Charging.

Go to Batteries Plus for an X2 Power AGM. They’re made by Odyssey who arguably makes the best AGM batteries on the planet, they’re priced right, the warranty is great and they’re easily obtainable.

I second the Odyssey. I have them in all my vehicles. The last 2 in my F350 lasted 11 years, my fusion lasted 8, my Harley lasted 7. In Vegas, that is a very long time. And they deliver a lot of power.

We have a local chain that sells all types. I just make sure it's one of the big three or whatever American-made brands, and it's an AGM obviously. It's usually Deka(east penn) if I can choose.

That’s a good thing IMO :)

The recommended size for the ST is an H6. I wanted to graduate to an H7 because it seems that's the only way I can get 850 CCA which is the ceiling recommendation for CCA.
Has anyone tried fitting one in? I heard it may be a challenge but it would fit. I'm interested in the higher current because I run the dash cam in park mode 24/7.
Unfortunately, the Batteries Plus in my area does not carry the X2 Power AGM.

The H7 is about 1.5” longer but the same height and width…it’s snug but it fits. I did it a long time ago.

Good to hear, thanks! Did you go with the H7 because of higher CCAs? Any regrets?
