Valentine One V2 is the all time best. Have had multiple ones, and I think its a false alarm, but 3 miles later Ill see an Interceptor. Have the Blendmount and it looks really clean. Highly recommend the combo.

Still running my Uniden R3. With latest firmware it's better than ever. Would love to upgrade to R7 or R8 but don't really need to.

Same here. Even with mild hills, it lets me know what's ahead. My V1 works well in the Mustang. The dash cam is a RedTiger. It works well.

I own a few unidens, both V1G1 and V1G2. I've had Escorts as well. I genuinely prefer Uniden RDs if you want to run a Valentine with the JBV1 app on android, it's the best experience.

I run Escort Max 360 in both of my vehicles. Great units.

Still need to install the Rove R3 camera's so can't comment on how they are working for me.

Has anyone tried the cobra 2 in 1 combo radar/dash cam unit?

Uniden R7, Thinkware Q800Pro front/rear, Thinkware battery pack.

I think the R7 is great. Love the display and the arrows are super useful.
The Thinkware is only OK. Not great picture quality or resolution. It's been pretty reliable but limited to 128gb memory cards though. The battery pack is nice since our batteries are not fully charged to begin with and nice when you value Park Mode on the dash cam.

I have those same Thinkwares on two Fords and agree completely with your assessments. And, the software is mediocre.

I’ve noticed the ST frequently goes into hibernation despite the Thinkware being set to the lowest battery drain setting.

Blendmount with the mirror wire tap is how I roll.

If that's the case, you should probably find a dedicated circuit from the interior fuse panel below and to the left of the steering column. There are plenty of open circuits available to do the job, and the circuit will shut off when the truck is shut down eliminating battery drain.

Since I last drove it, the cameras have been unplugged until 24 hours ago. This is because, after the windshield replacement, I waited 24 hours for the 3M tape to cure before reattaching the camera to the mount and plugging it in.

So, after only 24 hours with the cameras connected, I just now measured the battery at 12.11 volts. I’m wondering whether there isn’t some other phantom draw in play.

The cameras are wired to the fuse box with one always on (for park mode) and the other only on with the ignition. As I mentioned, the camera is set to turn off park mode at the highest voltage setting (12.7 IIRC).

I’m slow charging the battery now. Once it’s topped off, I’m going to disconnect the cameras, read the voltage and then read it again in the morning.

The reading may be 12V, but without a load the reading means nothing. And, the reading should be closer to 13V.

I'm not a fan of "combo units". When one quits, you throw them both away and start over.
