Regardless of the interstate (I 70, I 29, I 94) if the Bluecruise comes on at all, it lasts only about five to ten seconds before shutting off. Dealer said it could not find any pronblems, except the "system isn't really very good". I see that the last update was August of 2024. I have a 2025 bought in February. Originally, the system worked reasonably well. Now, it is more or less useless. Any thoughts?

Mine BlueCruise is finicky. It won’t function unless it gets 5 GPS signals and they are clear. Solar flares that disrupt signals are real and BC won’t work.

I have had it work flawlessly for 400 miles then forget where it was the next day.

I don’t know if I will renew.

I couldn't get mine to work at all. Out of the blue, it started working AFTER we took a 6 hour roadtrip. I called Ford to see if they could give me a courtesy month trial since it didn't start working until the last two weeks, which they could obviously see based on the data logs. Nope, nothing they would do and it was like pulling teeth even to get to that answer. I was not pleased with the support.

When it started working, did you do anything different to your settings?
Conditions must be met for BC to activate.

Haven't had an issue when subscribed getting Blue Cruise to work but system keep saying I wasn't looking at the road. Adjusted height of steering wheel which kinda helped but still beeped annoyingly. Steering wheel was then in a position uncomfortable for driving. At one point, it pumped brakes on me which created road rage against my own vehicle. I'll just use adaptive cruise for now on.

Nope, nothing different. I actually checked the BC website and 87% of my trip was BC eligible!

FYI: Had the truck in for service and Ford updated the Blue-Cruise software. Next time I take a trip, I will see if that had an effect.

Thanks to all for their info.

Any updates on this? Purchased a 26 ST last night and mine is doing this exact same thing. Took it back to dealer today and they kept it. Said it was throwing a steering wheel code that was not showing in Fords system on what to do.

I also told them in the settings the BlueCruise map version is blank and not sure if that had anything to do with it. Anyone else have this blank and BlueCruise works?

Dealer seemed clueless so hoping for a miracle. Not a great way to start off with a new vehicle.

Dealer has confirmed issue but been unable to correct the issue. They have secured me another one from another dealer and of

Update:
Vehicle was worked on by the shop foreman all week who is tech savy and worked with Ford Engineering. Today they were told to disconnect battery for 12 minutes and try again. That seemed to fox everything. Ford told them there was also an OTA update coming soon.

I picked it up and drove it straight to get tint, PPF and ceramic coating. BlueCruise worked as intended for the short drive I had there.

Shout out to Ford of Franklin TN specifically Lauren the Customer Service Manager for getting this fixed. They had already secured another Explorer for me from another dealer and were going to trade it out if they were unable to resolve the issue. They also refueled my Explorer and detailed it before giving it back.
