Has anyone purchased and installed the BC Racing BR Series Coilovers (2020-2024 Explorer ST) - E-48-BR yet? https://shop.bcracing-na.com/products/20-24-ford-explorer-st-fwd-awd

I wish they also explained what the additional options are: Extreme Low* , Optional Extenders* & Swift Springs*.

My ST is at 59K and I figured I should be replacing the struts and shocks plus I was thinking of adding lowering springs.

With the PIU shocks and struts look to be $100 each and the lowering springs are $350, what is an additional $700 if the ride would be better. Any Thoughts?

I wish someone knowledgeable would answer your question. I’m in the same boat. Recently hit 60k miles, already had to replace rear shocks TWICE due to leaking fluid. I know the front ones are worn and should be changed out soon. I’m looking at Steeda springs but they’re over $500 after shipping and tax. I don’t what springs you’re able to get for that low of a price. Personally I don’t want to lower the front more than an inch, I still want SUV capabilities, not trying to treat it like it’s a corvette, it’s not. Steeda is the only spring that would work for me but their coating is trash as I’ve seen countless other ST owners who’ve had serious rust accumulation on their springs and sway bars in under 2 years time, which is nothing. I would absolutely be paying a shop to give the springs an additional clear coat. So that’s more money on top of the cost of the springs. But a 2-$300 for front shocks plus springs and I’m at minimum $7-$800 before install fees and clear coat fees, why not just get the BCcoilovers at $1,250 if they’re an improvement? I’m wanting to pull the trigger but really want feedback from someone.

I do see that the Steeda's are close to $500. I was looking at either Eibach or H&R which are right around $350 at Lethal Performance. They have a lot of sales for 10% off.

With the lack of response and doing more research, I concluded to stay away from Coilovers. I still have not done anything, but maybe this fall.
