I'm upgrading to the EMS port injection soon and it comes with the MaxxECU Mini and 1300cc Injectors. I know the Mini has zero issues with controlling the port injection and even can do extra things I want; but I wanna know if anyone has done a full standalone to replace the oem ecu.

The Mini has 6 drivers but only for high impedance injectors, won't work on low impedance di Injectors. The oem ecu is also torque based from what ChatGPT can find. Meaning the tuning isn't as in depth as you'd find in older vehicles where you can tune how the boost comes in and manipulate the torque and power curves.

Perfectly fine with running the oem with the Mini for a piggy back, but I would like the ability to have more control over the DI amd HPFP.

I run a Megasquirt MS3 in one of my Mustangs, but I'm no help with regards to the Explorer. However this sort of topic interests me so i'm here for any responses.

I haven’t seen anyone even mention a stand alone much less try to run one.
