Aftermarket Security?

Hey all.

I spend a lot of time outside of the US for work, and as a result my vehicle is left unattended for long periods of time.

Does anyone use, or have used an aftermarket security system that can send you alerts to your phone? So say I am in Africa somewhere and my car alarm goes off, I get a notification.

If all you want is a notification that the alarm was triggered, the FordPass app does that. Also provides GPS location of the vehicle. Thats going to be your easiest solution. As far as actual "security" systems go where you can have the vehicle remotely shut down or anything... no too familiar with anything like that. I will say though that LoJack is awesome in terms of tracking your vehicle and providing you with notifications of where it is or if it gets moved.
