Hi, new user here, with a '25 Job 2 (I think).

Does anyone know if there's an aftermarket or OEM solution to install second row window screens/shades, since Ford oh-so-helpfully deleted them?

You could just get some OE door panels, but otherwise the way their designed you couldn’t just retrofit them.

Buy a couple of rear door panels and the window trim with the hooks built in off eBay. Wouldn’t take 30 minutes to swap it all out.

They sell aftermarket snap in/stock in shades for these vehicles. Not as nice as the built in roll ups but there are options. I have a full set for my car. Front row, 2nd row and the rear window in the 3rd row.

3rd row I leave in all the time and they snap into place. No retainers needed. Front outside you can’t see in at all.

2nd row you’ll need to use the stick on retainers, otherwise I use the peasant blockers in my 23 to hold them in place. I actually really like the OEM shades. Didn’t think I would.

Front row ones I only use when I put the windshield shade in place.

Definitely a feature I could have lived without. I've used ours perhaps a half dozen times, our 4-year-old prefers sunglasses. The shades make noise when in the up position. I've heard others say theirs make noise while down, but mine are quiet when not in use.

Solved: This is an awesome alternative for around $95.00 that offer more coverage than OEM

These shades are are specifically designed for 6th Gen Explorers 20-25. They fit firmly in to the window sills and can be easily installed and removed. They also include a magnet attachment, but mine stay on tight without needing to use the magnets. They are wire framed and can be adjusted by slightly bending them to your desired fitment. Good quality too. I absolutely love them.

You get the 2nd row and 3/4 panel covers if you want

Those are the ones I have. I just run the 2nd and 3rd row ones in all the time since I rarely have anyone sit back there.

I only use the front ones if i want to black everything out for privacy or security along with a sunshade for the windshield.

Maybe impossible to answer, but I wonder if just the third row one reduces cabin temperature/heat. I'd buy those if so.
I have these. Driving with the 2nd and 3rd row in, it does reduce heat/sun in the back. Unfortunately you still have the rear window and sunroof (if equipped). On overcast days it's plenty dark. Does it make a significant measurable difference? Unknown.

Just a warning, with the 2nd row shades in on the driver's side, it's difficult to see vehicles in your blind spot. Yes, you do have the BLIS, but i've had a couple close calls because you can no longer look over your shoulder and these mirrors don't have an additional mirror for the blind spot. I ended up removing the driver's side 2nd row and just use my OEM shade there.
