2026 ST versus 2022 ST

Just got my new 2026 Explorer ST today. Previously I had the 2022 ST. I love the interior refresh and front end especially. But my question is what (if anything) changed engine or transmission wise? I assumed everything is the same and it was just a interior & exterior refresh.

I have seen tunes are now different? What else…

From what I have seen nothing big is different on the powertrain side of things. Updated CDF Drum, and the possible gasoline particulate filter on 2026 models made April and later.

You may have a gasoline particulate filter, different turbos, different programming to inhibit full power when launching, the 1-bolt rear end, and that’s it.

Not all, mine has a 2 bolt. Most though.

Different turbos?? How do you confirm that? Is it a total different power band also? Would a tune make more or less power because of the turbos? Assuming the tune would fix the full power launch issue also ?
