Lots of people in the U.S. will think LOBO is something brand new for Ford not knowing its been around for a long time.
Yup. I had that same reaction when i first heard of it.

Sorry but, what makes the ST special if the 3.0L is available in most trims now?
I kinda agree. At least when the ST debuted for the '20 model year, Ford detuned the Platinum slightly so there was a performance incentive to get the ST in the explorer lineup

Now you can get a 3.0tt in several different trims of explorer and aviator at 400HP, as well as in the Bronco and Ranger Raptors. The ST doesn't even get the highest HP version.

Was kinda disappointed to see the '25 ST didn't even get a 10-15HP bump. I think some exec at Ford quoted the ST at a 20% take rate, but would like to see some ongoing performance investment into the trim level.

Not all 3.0L engines have turbos. The 3.0L Vulcan is not turbocharged.

An engine that hasn't been in production in two decades? Come on now. Everyone else here knows we're talking about the 3.0L Nano Ecoboost.

You can scratch the Platinum off the list as competition for the ST/Tremor, they're dropping the 3.0L as an option.

well that’s an interesting move. I wonder the reasoning behind that?
My guess most Platinum owners just wanted mostly well equipped trim features and 3.0 engine option wasn't at the top of their list.

I'll only ever have a V6 Ecoboost. If they don't have it, then won't buy it.
