2025 Trans Slamming into 3rd (sometimes)

I've noticed that my ST will occasionally slam into 3rd gear when giving it 50% or more throttle, only noticeable while in sport mode. It is especially apparent if you you're in manual mode, but I have had it happen in auto sport at least twice. I don't let the gears ride out to max RPM and end up short shifting (probably around 5000-ish RPM), if anything. Tis just a little bit of fun being had, but the slamming of gears is scary as hell... making me afraid this trans is going to nuke itself.

I'm at 5500 miles and had service at 3500 miles, to which I asked them to verify the transmission fluid level. Ford service claimed it was right where it should be.

No tune presently.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Mine does the exact same thing! I just hit 2500 miles on my 2025 and in sport mode it bangs the 2-3 shift so hard it knocked off my radar detector.

In sport mode it does it really bad when I floor it. What is that?
All part throttle shifting in any mode is fine.

Mine did that today in manual mode... didn't get an opportunity to see what gears I was going between. Encourages me to get a tune

Might want to wait on that tune. I'm currently tuned and now I'm worried I have a warranty problem. (that Ford might not cover -- with 2500 miles. Vehicle is 2 months old)

Someone with more knowledge will hopefully chine in but do the 25s also ship with low transmission fluid? I know that’s an issue with a lot of the earlier STs being sold brand new with low transmission fluid which can cause some issues.

Not sure if it's 3rd gear, but mine consistently does it on acceleration and deceleration. It's more noticeable on deceleration, always makes the whole vehicle slightly jerk as I'm coming to a stop. Occasionally as I'm accelerating, say getting up to a 45 or 50 mph speed limit, I'll let off the gas just as it seems like the transmission is shifting and the thing shudders violently.

I blame this website for wanting me to mod the car .... you are right tho. And I've had plenty of people say the same thing lol
