First post, what is the function of the plastic cage around the rear view mirror? Where do you put your EZ Pass?

It houses the cameras for lane/steering assist & BlueCruise. Look at it from exterior and you will see cameras.
I put my ezpass high & tight on passenger side next to the cover you ask about. I think it's visible in this photo.

And congrats on your new ride.

It also covers the wiring for the rearview mirror electronics.

That's where the smoke is. Don't let it out. Holdover from the Ford+Land Rover days.

I originally had it at the top of the windshield but hated the way I saw the white backing when looking from outside the truck. I had it removed when I tinted the windshield and relocated it to the sunroof right above my head. It is tucked out of the way, can't be seen when driving or from outside and it works perfectly in the lanes.

This is where I mounted our transponder with a silicon sleeve.

I probably should have asked if your EZ Pass is a sticker or physical transponder. In Illinois we have both. When I said I put it on the sun roof glass I should have specified that I have a sticker.
