On the highway, it has done it a few times now , but when you’re going and trying to change lanes or merge and you let off and then get back on it hard it will pop out of gear and grind and then it will sometimes say transmission fault and you have to let it sit and coast until it pops back into gear. So I decided to change the fluid to see if there is any issue that are apparent and there were. The magnets didn’t have a crazy amount of metal but there were some good chunks in the pan and in the filter. Just wondering is anyone else has had this issue or if it something to be very concerned about. When it was under warranty I took it in 3 times and payed the service fee and every time they said they couldn’t replicate the issue and cant warranty it.

thank you

It absolutely is something to address. Shedding metal like that is just warning you of what is to come.

Mine has done it probably 15-20 times. Just had the trans service again…car has 116+ on the clock and still shifts perfectly. I was having a shift flare into 8th in Sport mode at low throttle so I had a new valve body thrown in…it’s like new again.
