2020 explorer st charging system problem

2020 explorer st I have had it for 6 months and yesterday got a service charging system light and it shut all systems down then went into park going 15mph I replaced battery and reset a multiple times same problem getting 11.8 to 12 volts while running and no change with rpm increase I ordered oe alternator is there anything else I should check before replacing the alternator?

Have you tested the alternator?

Make sure nuts on all the power cables going to the positive fuselink panel on top of the battery are all tight.

You can try pulling the cable from the BMS sensor on the negative terminal cable. That will make the alternator charge the battery without BMS interference. If the voltage is still low, then could definitely be the alternator if not a connection or grounding issue.
