I just ordered this from rockauto. It should be this part here. They are taking their time shipping it out and I’m in a rush to do the pan drop and filter replacement before I start work again next week.

Are the 10r80 filters compatible with our trans? I ordered this from amazon to get a filter in hand sooner rather than later. According to that page it is compatible with 2020+ explorers. I just don’t want to drop the pan and find out it’s not going to work.

Any advice would be appreciated!

**EDIT** 08/29/2025:
I don’t recommend the amazon filter. The oil pickup mouth does not extend as far down into the pan as the higher quality one from rock auto. This could potentially cause starvation on hard acceleration or steep slopes or if the fluid level is low. Also the filter media seems to be moving around inside when I shake it. The rockauto one is solid but it didnt come with a pan gasket. It did come with the small rubber seal that goes on the neck of this filter though. The yellow filter from the photos is from amazon and the black filter is from rockauto.

Okay so they are interchangeable but the 10r80 filter is just slightly more filter surface and larger? Thank you.
