Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Does anyone know if the Platinum trim has this issue too? I know they have the same engine, but unaware if they would have the same subframe issue

QUESTION: Who is using/has used a 3 bolt at the drag strip?

Yeah, but I bet it's even higher tuned.

The best diff brace money can buy.

Gawd dayum that is beefy. That is one of the better looking braces that I think would actually have a benefit though. Although beefy doesn't mean anything unless that bushing can withstand it. If that bushing is as solid as a rock with just enough give to prevent the diff from twisting, it...

    Need Help with Build Letters

Yeah I don't plan on doing hard launches or taking it to the track, but gunning it from a stop light or getting some decent dragy times would be great

    Need Help with Build Letters

Would you happen to know of anyone that is tuned with the 3 bolt instead of the 4? Every ST I look at is a 3 bolt, and I feel anything so much as an intake filter will snap it like a dorito. I'd rather not snap it after I get the ST on stock tune only for it to sit on the like for 6mo-1r waiting...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Ugh, man. If I had the two bolt I'd have an ST already lol even with a tune it worries me that the bolt will snap, and the recall denied from the tune even if I return it to stock. Anyone ever come across a tuned ST with a one bolt and it be fine? I do plan on getting a differential brace for...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

There are a couple of ‘20’s available, but they all have 25k and higher miles and not the right trim package, that’s too high for me to feel comfortable about it. But I have thought about the 20’s before. But every ST I looked at that are 21+ have the 3 bolt

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yeah, certainly is not making me feel good about looking to buying. I have a lot of thinking to do, this **** ing blows lol with a kid due in June, I'd either have to stay stock, or waste money on the not even worth it Ford Performance tune to still have the warranty for when the bolt brakes...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I thought I remember seeing that none of the rear diff braces actually make a difference. But I've also been trying to avoid the 2020 models like the plague due to all the issues they've had. How is your '20 holding up? I guess C and D builds are somewhat better than A or B builds.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yeah, I figured that's the case. I just got off the phone with the service department manager. Unless that bolt is broken or has a stress fracture, they won't do the recall like you said. However, who the **** knows if the parts and 4 bolt subframe is actually on back order. Which I am sure it...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

What do you guys think is the probability of a dealership performing the recall and fixing it with a 4 bolt frame on a used 21 ST? I want to get an Explorer ST, and tune it, and I plan on looking at one Saturday, but that rear single bolt has me very concerned about doing anything other than...

    Canadian Built ST

From another thread I found, during the import process, part of that is selecting the country inside FordScan to US instead of Canada, which can be done with Forscan, but we haven't looked at it yet, from the photos it does have the MPH, and has been converted to miles instead of km. However it...

Thanks JD for that info. Just got my cup of coffee and about to sign on for work, but later in the day I'll be calling to ensure the status of the warranty, because I absolutely despise dealerships lol

    Canadian Built ST

Not holding my breath, but I hope so too! I've looked at so many and dealerships aren't budging on their prices still. Hell, I was at Haggerty Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn, IL Saturday and they literally removed the listing and relisted it back at $56k for 12,000 miles while we were there!. Yesterday...

    Canadian Built ST

Thanks Dale, that's what I had thought. I'll post my findings for future reference with others. I plan on calling a few local ones for different answers, and even Ford themselves for warranty info.

I cought this on the Window Sticker, sounds like this would pose a problem with warranty no? VEHICLE NOT INTENDED FOR USE SALE OR REGISTRATION IN THE UNITED STATES." PRICE OF DETAIL EXCLUDING GST/QST

Well if I could read French I'd tell you  but the final assembly does say Chicago, I was able to dechiper French enough because it looks similar and it's in the same spot on the window sticker lol

    Canadian Built ST

Hey everyone, I've started to see a couple ST's that have been imported from Canada, overall price and condition look to be on par. However, what are the odds of Ford's warranty not being honored in the US should something happen? Has anyone had issues buying an imported Canadian ST vs a home...

    Need Help with Build Letters

Thanks! Lol it was a pretty cool shot. I love my FuSpo too, just want something faster and the transmission sucks ass on it. The 2-3 shift is garbage. However, I want to get back into an ST. I did come from a Focus ST and loved it. Im not sure if we’ll go see that one tomorrow, but I’ve been...
