What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Not really today, more of a Friday. Yesterday was a re-tune by Jeffrey Hald with TotalTuningUSA. Installed my new sub enclosure built by MTI, installed my new pillars built by me. (wrapped by Tam out of Houston) I still need to hook up the LED for the enclosure.

    Rattling

Take it off and apply some CCF to the back side of the panel. Get some cloth tape and apply a layer where any pins are. Pay particular attention to where the rattle is emanating. It will no longer rattle once it's treated.

    Collision tone channel

Anyone know what channel the collision and impact tones come out of? I no longer have the factory system and need to program the Mobridge. If anyone knows, it will save me some time of bouncing through the channels trying to figure it out.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Wasn't sure how they would look, I didn't want to copy everyone else and I hadn't seen anyone with these yet. I absolutely love them, waaaaaaay better than factory 21s.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I don't post much here, all of my upgrades have been to the sound system until now. So my first non-audio upgrade. The ST got new shoes today. Vossen HF3 22x10.5 wrapped in Toyo Proxie ST III 305x40. Completely change the look of the ST.

    2022 ST Active Noise Cancelation?

Thanks, just wanted to double check. I'm tuning a system and have a nasty null at 81Hz, I wanted to make sure that wasn't it.

    2022 ST Active Noise Cancelation?

Anyone know if the 2022 ST has ANC?

SYNC Won’t Hold Last Audio Source When Turned Off

Just thought I would add to this. I figured out why on some occasions, the USB would be active as soon as I started the vehicle. Turns out, if you unlock the vehicle with the keyfob before you head out, it seems to get all the modules fired up and USB will be active and you won't have to switch...

    Radio Nanny

Really. As soon as I start moving, the browse option greys out. If I use the arrow to back out, it will take me to the option page (or whatever the main page is called), but won't let me select anything. If I do, it tells me I can't because I'm driving. If someone is in the passenger seat, it...

    Radio Nanny

Kinda pricey, but might be worth it.

    Radio Nanny

Sometimes, but when I say play so and so, it just shows the albums. I think it complains when you click on it, but it goes through. If I recall correctly. Most of the time, I don't know what I want to listen to and I forget what's on the drive as I change it all the time.

    Radio Nanny

Can the radio nanny be turned off with Forescan? You know the one that won't let you browse a thumb drive if the vehicle is moving.

Rack is removable. 10mm and 2 6mm, remove a couple velcro pieces and I can lift it out. Center support.

SYNC Won’t Hold Last Audio Source When Turned Off

It's most likely a module initialization timing problem like someone previously posted. I wonder if Sync4 has the same problem?

SYNC Won’t Hold Last Audio Source When Turned Off

This is very annoying. What I have seen is it tries to load USB, but it's not ready and switches back to XM. Sometimes I have noticed if I remote start the vehicle, it will stay on USB

    Running speaker wire into doors

Got the wire run in the rear doors. Drilling was too much of a hammer and tried to crack the molex connector. So I switched to using flush cutters and a hot exacto knife.

    Running speaker wire into doors

Front is different, it has a wide open spot like you said.

    Running speaker wire into doors

Looking at this back door, I don't see how it can be done without modification. There are plenty of open pins, I'll just drill the unused large pin on the Grey molex. I only need to open it a little bit.

    Running speaker wire into doors

Did you have to drill the connector or did you just push the connector through? I've only briefly looked at it, I haven't messed with it yet, so I am unsure how it's secured or put together.
