    ST vs. The Competition

Even the lower hp ones are on par with the the ST if you are comparing 0-60 and 1/4 times. Overall the X5 is a much better vehicle but the ST does look better.

    Turbo Issues/No boost

Boost leaks can be a PIA to find especially if they don't develop until higher boost pressures are reached. As TMac stated the 1st step would be in checking all of the connections to make sure that they are TIGHT and that the clamps are in the right place. If that is ok I have a machine that can...

Am I missing something here or did we switch vehicles to one that does not have electric power steering?

Find the write up for replacing the intercooler. Once the front facia is off the horns are right there.

Att tech's misfire issue bank to bank

The rear O2's are not going to switch if the cats are working properly. At a steady even cruise on flat ground they should read ~.750 mv and hardly move from there. If you go wot the rear O2s should read above .900 mv and on a full decel should drop to .100 mv and probably go to 0. The pcm is...

Att tech's misfire issue bank to bank

What does the map read with the key on and engine off? Will it misfire if you put it in tow/haul mode?

Have you performed the misfire profile relearn yet?

    Transmission Issues?

Kind of off topic but I always found tow haul mode to be better for everyday driving. Much more responsive than normal mode but not as touchy as sport mode and a good balance shifting wise between normal and sport mode.

    SLD CVFAB Intercooler

Sold the ST so I have a black CVFAB intercooler up for sale. The IC has been on for about 4 months. Asking $650 for the IC. Local pickup only. I'm located in the Phoenix Metro area. Here is a pic of the IC when it was removed a couple of days ago. The paint is not rubbed off it is just dirty.

    Transmission Issues?

The trans tuning in sport mode is meant to be aggressive and will do this sometimes. If you had a transmission fluid issue the trans would be affected in all driving modes but it certainly does not hurt to check the fluid but you are going to have to get under the vehicle to do so. Do a search...

Att tech's misfire issue bank to bank

Given that you are getting misfires on both banks the very 1st thing I would do is a misfire profile relearn to rule out false information that may be triggering the codes. In order to do it you are going to need a capable scan tool. It can be done with FDRS obviously as it is the OE scan tool...

    wheel hop

While I agree with you on the 1 bolt issue I have to respectfully disagree with you on the cure. Springs and or shocks will most definitely help or cure this issue. While soft bushings can contribute to the wheel hop issue the main cause is poor control of the suspension which is a direct result...

    fuel mileage

That really depends on where you live and how you drive. I'm in Phoenix and the freeways around here move along pretty well. The posted limit of 65 mph is just a suggestion as it is really 75-80 mph. I have friends that live 50 miles NW of Los Angeles and when we go there I get just shy of 21...

Replaced cabin filter and found extra part?

That makes perfect sense. If that's the case then Ford must be doing something different as of late with how they secure the doors inside of the housing. The traditional way is the door is sandwiched in the case in such a way that case disassembly is required to service the door being that they...

Replaced cabin filter and found extra part?

I am extremely curious to find out how they fixed it. I admit I haven't had the pleasure of taking one of these apart...yet, but I can't for the life of me see how they managed to get the door put back in and have it be functional without disassembling the box but you never know. Them charging...

Replaced cabin filter and found extra part?

If you want to know if the recirculation door is working after they replace it turn the auto climate control off, set the vent positions to the blow out of the dash and turn the blower on high. Now turn the recirculation either on or off depending on where you started from, after a few seconds...

Replaced cabin filter and found extra part?

If it fell down that means either the end that goes into the motor is broken or the end that secures to the box is broken. You have to remove the HVAC case and split it open to get to the door.
