Spacers are suspect to begin with. Will they break? pretty unlikely....Could they break? yes. Same goes for Studs. Personally? there is 0 chance I'm cutting my studs down to begin (or use spacers for that matter) with but -0 chance I'd run cut studs on some other rim.

In in Canada, so no, they are 64$ CDN each for the Ford ones online. 25$ each is pretty damn reasonable. Plus if there's an issue, it gets swapped for free vs sending it back to someone. I'm perfectly happy paying that.

Sand it down, prime and paint.... Generally, some p120, sand off all the texture, a few coats of high build primer, paint and done. It's pretty easy but a little time consuming. The only kinda hard part is getting off all the trim lol.
