Damn. Sorry brother. Make sure to tell Ford you’re not OK with them deducting personal usage miles, seeing how long it’s taking. Might mean more money in your pocket.

I was able to get them to waive the mileage fee. Told them it would go a long way towards keeping me a loyal Ford buyer. It was the difference between owing them money and getting about $1,000 back, Might be worth a try in your case.

Agreed. My wife would have divorced me if I bought her another 2020 Explorer after the hell we went through.

Not a bad idea to wait. 2021 are less expensive than the 2020s, plus they will hopefully get the problems straightened out by then. Ford gave us a discount code to use towards the purchase of any new Ford. I think the discount was $1,500 and had to be used within 30 days of the buyback.

Your best bet is to wait for a call back from the case manager. It may take a little while, but they’ll get back to you for the next steps. It’s out of the dealership’s hands now.
