I did the same and noticed a difference right away. While it took me an embarrassingly long time to install, I was pleased with the result. I did sand, primer, and paint the bar grey -- I did not want the blue peeking out of the fender well.

You may want to check around your battery for extra boxes. I bought a Mustang GT used and found a lo-jack cellular module attached. I never had an issue but I removed it from the car and disposed of it. Just an idea.

I went from a 2011 Ford Expedition (13 local 17 highway) to the 2025 Explorer. So far, I have only run 93 octane. It is still cheaper on gas than the Expedition, so no complaints. Also, in Georgia I am paying ~$3.60/gal to $3.80/gal for 93.

Thank for the responses. I will look at the ID-Speed brace sooner. I will install prior to towing, probably this summer. I don’t launch the vehicle most of the time. I do like the capable acceleration.

I like the thought of the differential brace yet am concerned about warranty. I have 38k remaining on the warranty. I am thinking of postponing this upgrade until after the warranty period (APR 2028 or 42k miles). Thoughts!

Quality is an issue. This is Ford #4 for me. The 2017 Mustang has been good so far (3 years of ownership) but does have an oil leak - slow, but I need to find it and fix it. The 2016 Fusion was great... until the turbo waste-gate went Tango Uniform at 106k miles -- not repairable by dealer...
