    Roof Rail is fading

Yeah no car wash here either, always hand washed it.

    Roof Rail is fading

Well, shoot. I had just assumed it was plastic. It’ll be interesting to see if the dealers can do anything. If not, I’ll look into buying a replacement part. Honestly I wouldn’t care at all if everything else on the car wasn’t black. This sticks out like a sore thumb.

    Roof Rail is fading

Yeah you’re right, it does look like that. I’ve looked through old photos of the car and it definitely wasn’t there when we bought it. I’ll see what the dealer thinks next time I’m in for an oil change, I’m pretty lucky that my local Ford dealer are actually really helpful.

    Roof Rail is fading

I hear what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’s as simple as spraying on a bit of Back to Black and hoping for the best. It’s completely lost it’s color, rather than looking a little dull (where Back to Black would work perfectly). I’ve attached a picture. I’m not going to lose any sleep over...

    Roof Rail is fading

Hey guys, tried searching through previous posts but couldn't see anything similar. Has anyone had issues with their roof rails fading? On my passenger side roof rail, the very front is faded so much it almost looks like it's been spray painted white. I'll try and grab a picture next time I run...

    ST Experience invite.

So how was it? We are heading down to Asheville for our experience next Wednesday. I'm actually looking forward to the 8 hour drive down there more than I am the experience I think!

    2021 Explorer ST won't start

So far, so good. It's definitely nice to have it back for sure. We've had a fairly decent amount of snow the past couple days and I'm one of those rare people that actually appreciate how good the Explorer is in the snow, even on the stock tires!

    2021 Explorer ST won't start

Wanted to give everyone an update. I got my Explorer back today, thankfully. They identified that the Starter Motor was failing, so replaced it. Everything seems to be back to normal now, but my concern is, what caused the Starter Motor to fail after 1000 miles? Was it just faulty from the get...

    2021 Explorer ST won't start

I heard back from my dealership today. They suspect it is a faulty Shift Assembly Module, which is causing the vehicle to think it's not in Park, hence why it's not starting. They've overnighted the replacement module and will fit tomorrow. I'm doubtful this will be the fix, but we shall see!

    2021 Explorer ST won't start

Hey everyone, So I've had my 2021 ST for the grand total of 4 weeks, and unfortunately it's already in the dealership for repairs. I'll give you a bit of a back story, apologies for the lengthy post. So on Saturday I was about half an hour from home and stopped at a gas station to use the...

    Has anyone changed exhaust tips?

Decided I couldn’t look at the stock exhaust tips anymore! Bought these tips for $19.99 each off Amazon, and my local muffler shop installed in an hour for $75! I am more than happy with how they turned out.

What are some of your other hobbies?

I'm 35 and love my Explorer ST! In my eyes, it says to people that I am a practical family man, who also likes to go fast! Hahaha. I have 3 year old twin boys, so my sports car days are sadly over. Although, I can't say I've ever owned a sports car! Other than that, my hobbies are like most...

Finally have the 2021 Explorer ST

Any reason they didn’t include it for 2021? Was it missed in the factory? I’ve been complaining to myself for a few weeks now that my front camera sprayer isn’t working, now I’m thinking mine is like yours and it isn’t even there! Will have to check later today.

    Has anyone changed exhaust tips?

Do you have a link to these? Are they 3.5" or 4"? They look great!

    Front Camera washer jet

So I've found my first "issue" after only 10 days of ownership. The front facing camera washer jet does not engage whenever I use the windshield washer jets. Am I missing something or not trying something? I can't seem to get it to work at all. Not a big deal, and I will probably just wait for...

Has anyone found a nice running board solution?

@GDubzFL I'm in love with your ST! I picked up a 2021 in Agate Black last week, seeing those running boards on yours makes me seriously consider getting some. Were they pretty straight forward to install?

What did your Ford Explorer ST replace?

2015 Chrysler 200S AWD. Really loved this car, my first “big engine” having moved from the UK and only ever owned small 4-Cylinder hatchbacks. The 3.6L V6 on this always felt like it pulled strong for a non-turbo engine. This thing never missed a beat and I put 50,000 miles on it in 12 months...

New owner and I'm seriously in love

Also, you need a “British Army Veteran” option for new members when signing up! ;) I served 7 years for the Queen as I’m originally from the UK, moved to the US in 2018.

New owner and I'm seriously in love

Stopping by to say hi and introduce myself! Picked up a black 2021 Explorer ST on New Years Eve having spent months going back and forth on what my next car should be. I knew I wanted a performance SUV so I had a fairly narrow search. I looked at the Mercedes GLC 63, Alfa Romeo Stelvio...
