AWE Definitely has better looking tips and sounds a bit softer/deeper tone at startup. They are very similar to my ears but AWE looks sick with the larger tips.

I dont have downpipes but the vibrant ultra quiet resonators really toned it down, knocked the raspy buzzy bee sound down around 2k-3k rpm when normal slow driving thru the gears. And now it doesnt sound like im trying race people everytime i take off from a light. Its still loud but it did...

did it actually help low speed high rpm like 2500rpm light to light or just at idle?

Where did you put the vibrant resonators and which ones did you use?

Yeah the 3 it’s really loud. It’s quiet when off the pedal and sounds great when your on it but it’s loud I’d be willing to trade my 3 inch for a 2.5 or it will be for sale soon. Has less than 50 miles on it and I powder coated the tips black and they look awesome.

I Just not sure the 2.5 would be much quieter pulling from the curb and start n stop kinda driving. At regular speed and freeway it’s great just hat 1st thru 5

I think they both sound similar at lower speed. This is where my problem is. I like the start up n idle and when you get on it sounds great. But it’s the fart can sound when pulling from a curb I just hate.

would you have a recommendation for a quieter muffler to replace the rear mufflers on the thermal? Just asking thanks for your replies.

but have you actually done this to an explorer with thermal 3?

i rode in a 2020 with 3inch and it was much more bearable idk but mine is LOUD in first thru 4 stop n go! sounds great after that. My first thought was adding the vibrant ultra quiets or selling the system and trying the 2.5 and then back to stock with tips maybe idk but im bummed

I PUT THE THERMAL 3INCH ON AND IT IS PRETTY LOUD!. Great idle great Wide open no drone and sounds awesome full throttle, but around town it is to loud for me. once your moving its way better but start and stop is loud. Probably wont keep it, might trade for 2.5 or sell and build a custom one...
