2200 mile trip in the ST

Round trip mileage from Ohio to Anna Maria Island in Florida. Explorer ran flawlessly an used no oil. Rarely ran under 80 except through Atlanta (about an hour and a half of downtime on I-75). Rain most of the time going down and some on the way back, so it's quite the pig in need of a good...

What Did the Wife Do to the Explorer ST Today

Bumped a pole in a parking lot. No big deal, could have been me. What says you on the repair cost? Thinking of paying out of pocket instead of insurance.

    Coolant Recovery Cap

Found nothing by searching for this. I've never had the cap off of the recovery tank. Antifreeze was at the min mark cold. I could get it to turn a couple rounds but no more. (turned hard) Short of busting the tank, it's not coming off. Anyone else have this issue?

    Laundry Day

One of my least favorite things to do. Washing them isn't bad, it's the folding I don't like. Here's a tip. To soften microfiber towels add a cup of white vinegar to the load. Done for a couple months.

A New Member of the Broken Seat Club

The wife told me the driver's seat in the ST felt "different". Found the side panel was loose and two broken tabs on the floor. 23,000 miles. Passenger side still no issues. Will contact the dealer tommorow to get it fixed under warranty. Did Ford come out with a upgrade on these panels? This...

New Member to the I'm Having Trouble with My ST Club

I drove the Explorer yesterday without issue. This morning, the wife pressed the #1 seat position to adjust the seats. The seat moved into position, and all hell broke loose! Clicking, all lighting flashing (Interior and exterior). I went out and tried to start it, no power at all, no lighting...

Can Someone Check Something For Me?

Washing the Explorer today and was drying the door jams. Where the hinge strap attaches to the door it looks like the picture below. Both front doors are like this. The rear doors have covers on them as pictured. Can someone check their front doors and see if they have covers? Thanks.

    Good Dealer Experience Today

We all post about the bad stuff, but it's good to hear some positive dealer experience. When I purchased the additional warranty on the ST, that included the first four oil changes. Today was freebie #2. I did caution them not to damage the jack points. Vehicle done in less than an hour, no...

    Ford Performance ST Experience Swag

Here's some pics of the items you'll get at the experience. Zulu backpack, phone charger, and the new ST emblems are niceties. I'll save this and throw it in when I sell the Explorer.

Ford Performance ST Experience Ashville May 19th and 20th, 2021

The wife and I had a blast . Learned a lot about the vehicle operation and it's capabilities. Met forum member Dave G ST and a lot of other good people. Biltmore was great. Overall a good time! Drove the ST's hard at times in the autocross and evasive maneuvers.

    Home Made Jack Pucks

Used a router to make a channel in the hockey puck. Screw the puck to a piece of wood to prevent it from moving while being routed. Take the routed puck, another puck, and put silicone caulk between them. I used 1 3/4" construction screws to attach them together. Tightened them enough to sink...
