No idea, just didn’t want to throw him under the bus unnecessarily by not being clear. His exact words: “It’s not making the 1-2 shift at all. It looks like a transmission issue. Please check the fluid level in the trans.” Didn’t follow up after checking trans fluid. Kinda doubt the dealer...

Just to clarify - he didn't see the failure in logs I sent from another occurrence that did not involve the wrench. I haven't sent him logs that capture the DTC -- that won't show up until you repeat the failure several times.

Me too. Problem is always accompanied with rather jarring wheel hop. Easily recreated, though I've cut it out now. Identical rev-bounce behavior to when my dumb ass forgets to shift in manual mode.

I had my fluid level checked and it came back fine. Seeing several people with this issue now due to cold weather, I chocked it up to being normal. We're just spinning too much. Transmission is acting completely fine otherwise. One user pulled an Overboost P0234 DTC after repeated iterations.

You're gonna hear all kinds of noises from your Explorer. Some of them minor and easy to forget, like fuel tank sloshing, others aggravating even after 10k miles, such as interior trim rattling, seats clicking, heat shields flapping, etc. I've grown to just accept that this thing is just built...

I get some vibration when my exhaust backs off and rubs against the OEM downpipe notch or the rear hangers. I had the notch removed, I think it's missing from the aftermarket stuff so shouldn't be an issue for you. With my thermal, the hangers on the mufflers back too far down and there is...

Will absolutely do that if a simpler, less permanent method doesn't work.

Anyone running a Thermal 3" having problems with the midpipes backing off of the stock downpipes? I've re-tightened several times, and most recently got it to the shop to have the bolt torqued to hell. The "nipple" on the stock downpipe is causing quite a bit of vibration when the pipes back off...

85 miles on my 2022. Wonder where they came from.. Are the dealerships the ones driving them around?

Wouldn't surprise me either. My liftgate plastic panel wasn't even snapped in fully, I can hear a cable vibrating in there when I go over bumps.

I'm missing the same felt shield bolt lol. My 2022 is barely assembled. Loose interior and exterior panels, missing screws, ABS sensor not fully seated, seat trim pieces missing hardware, liftgate rattling because it wasn't fully assembled... Having a hell of a time with her :)

Thanks for this. I'm experiencing similar symptoms - no shift from 1st to 2nd and I appear to be bouncing off the rev limiter, which is disengaging the transmission temporarily, and sometimes forcing the vehicle into limp mode. Mine is a 2022.

My 2022 is doing this. No shift to second gear, losing throttle/transmission stall for a few seconds. Sometimes enters limp mode. Were you able to get a diagnosis/solution?

My vehicle went into limp mode today after accelerating from stop. No launch this time, just smash and go.
