    Don't know if this will help, I copied this off of Rock Auto's '21 Explorer page. They sell 2 different Motorcraft and one Schrader TPMS. All they sell are programmed.

    I was raised Chevy, Buick, Olds, Pontiac. Didn’t buy Fords until I started working for them. They make a pretty good product. Enjoy that new ST.

    After looking at your picture, I went out and did the old tapety-tap on ours. It's metal! Our '20 is a gloss black, yours looks like a matte finish. Something the dealers body shop can spray. (y)

    Seems unusual that it’s faded badly in that amount of time. Won’t hurt to show the dealer where you bought it. If it’s not warranted maybe you can buy a replacement.

    I'm no tight wad, but that $10 x 2 vehicles is $80 per month. Thats pretty much a grand a year. :) To each their own.
