    Catalytic Converter Cracking

More than likely is because of the flex pipe vibrating violently upon start up. The flex pipes need to be clamped down properly, other users have had a similar issue as well.

    Ford Performance Tune

The Platinum and KR are higher trims... The ST still has a different tuned suspension, better brake options, higher final gear ratio, sportier seats and steering wheel. I mean its still a Sport version Explorer overall. No different than a base Camaro with the 1LE Package or the Mustang with...

    RWD ST

That's a totally different beast haha It was the lifted one right? I vaguely remember seeing a pic or two of it. The only high HP car I encountered traction issues stock was a Charger Hellcat. My brother's C7 Z06 does pretty well with the OEM tires.

    RWD ST

Which goes back to what I said, not everyone lives by the snowy mountains or goes off roading. I never been in a situation where 4WD vehicles were a must or anything of that sort. my 335i RWD was in the 400's whp, my Cobra was in the 500's whp, neither were a drift monster lol It's all in the...

    RWD ST

LOL Its fast for an SUV but c'mon.... You're acting like it's going to be having crazy traction issues. If that were the case, sports cars, pony cars, etc would all be useless since 99.9% of them are RWD. Not everyone lives in the snow or go dirt/off roading. So needing the AWD is moot for...

    RWD ST

In more cases than not, the AWD version has faster ET's vs the RWD version but at a slight slower trap speed. However, where wheel spin isn't much of an issue, the RWD will be the faster car. I highly doubt the ST will have much traction issues especially at the weight it is in stock form. The...

    RWD ST

The RWD ST gets 2 MPG more than the AWD on the HWY. So there's definitely drag at higher speeds. If you check the intelligent AWD on the dashboard, you'll notice there's still some power going to the front wheels/

    Oil Brands you use?

    +1 on Mobil 1

    Are these new cupholders?

Yep, definitely new for 22. Also have a bench seat on my 20 and its open space there. My 18 Sport had very similar ones, they were pretty useful especially if I had 3 passengers. Would be nice if we can add the bracket.

Abusing an Explorer ST for science

    I need more popcorn :ROFLMAO:

    Explorer ST/Timberline Part Swap

Wouldn't even call it a gas mileage helper. Might get .2 mpg at most if lucky. Reason why both ST and Platinum are rated the same. Ford should've just left the final gear ratios the same for the 3.0l's.

    Best tunes???

Those are pretty damn good runs! Giving an older tuned Sport a run for its money. As someone said, ZFG is probably the best tuner for these cars. PBD and geartune? have also gotten great reviews.

Abusing an Explorer ST for science

Whenever someone says the Explorer is not up to task, not a great vehicle or reliable, I just send them this YT link. I also need more popcorn, I love internet fights

    Rear end damage

Correction, 3.0l* Explorer's King Ranch and Platinum also fall under the same category. The Aviators were not affected which is odd but not surprised as it is the luxury brand.

Has Anyone Received a 2022 Model Yet?

Thats a good sign of things. Too bad we wont get much discounts during the holidays, if any.

    Rear end damage

The issue with this is so far there's been less than 5 documented findings on the bolt being broken. Most of them being tuned. I'm hoping they do something about it but so far, there's not enough for them to have a need to change it.

    Back-up Camera Issues

Got the recall done on mine, still having the blue screen issues

    360/backup Camera picture quality

It also stutters. Not a fan of it at all. Feels like there's a short delay to it. The 5th gen reverse camera was better

400 HP option for 2022 Kings Ranch and Platinums

LOL im only 32 and grabbed the Platinum. I went for the cheaper better deal overall. Fully loaded for 50k~. I actually prefer the more comfortable seats on the Platinum and leather stitched dashboard. ST tho had the much better looking interior.

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

Ford is being cheaper every year in certain areas, 2021 lost also small details that are useful from 2020 like the front washer. 2022 loosing the center console, some people might see this as a win but for leaving the SUV the same price? Makes you think what other small crap they're removing...
