Current Rating (Amperage) for the 110 volt Power Outlet

Documentation shows 120v and 150W. Not a lot; should be able to power a laptop computer or hand-held gaming system.

Operate rear windows after parking & shutting off engine

Ford went cheap on the rear doors without including a control module for the windows. They are power windows like the 1980s. This is disappointing since the 2016 Fusion we had allowed for this level of control; we could also open and close front and rear windows with the key fob. Alas, they...

    McGard vs Gorilla

First, Ford with their two-piece lug nuts must be saving money. I had these on a 2011 Expedition and had to replace them due to swelling. This happened at a shop when they heated up due to use of air-tools (impact wrench). when I purchased a 2017 Mustang, the lug nuts were the first to go...

What grade of gas do you put in your ST?

I went from a 2011 Ford Expedition (13 local 17 highway) to the 2025 Explorer. So far, I have only run 93 octane. It is still cheaper on gas than the Expedition, so no complaints. Also, in Georgia I am paying ~$3.60/gal to $3.80/gal for 93.

    3rd Explorer, First ST

Welcome to the forum! https://www.explorerst.org/threads/explorer-st-modding-101-guide.7324/ See the above link for ideas. I have done some of them - the Steeda Rear Anti-Sway Bar is notable; makes cornering more fun.

2025 ST test mules for forascn changes

I have the same code in my "As Built" file for the APIM. I can follow your change in the first block of four (0055 to 0015). The last block of four, (20BA to 207A), is not noted in my google sheet. These last two digits are listed as "**--" then it goes to the next aPIM group (10). Do you...

    Differential Brace & Warranty

Thank for the responses. I will look at the ID-Speed brace sooner. I will install prior to towing, probably this summer. I don’t launch the vehicle most of the time. I do like the capable acceleration.

    Differential Brace & Warranty

I like the thought of the differential brace yet am concerned about warranty. I have 38k remaining on the warranty. I am thinking of postponing this upgrade until after the warranty period (APR 2028 or 42k miles). Thoughts!

    Quality Control

Quality is an issue. This is Ford #4 for me. The 2017 Mustang has been good so far (3 years of ownership) but does have an oil leak - slow, but I need to find it and fix it. The 2016 Fusion was great... until the turbo waste-gate went Tango Uniform at 106k miles -- not repairable by dealer...

    What rims are these?

It looks a lot like the 2017 Mustang GT 20” rims.

2025+ Ford Explorer Spreadsheet now available!

Where did you find the rear door modules? Mine only opens the front windows (from factory) and did not close them. I can close them now but thought it odd that the rear windows did not follow. I found easy mode once by accident... how do I find it again?

Picked up my 2025 Ford Explore ST last week

Generally agree about missing features. I have had this Block 1 build 2025 since FEB 2025. The worst part is the gauges - I prefer analog gauges. This unmarked ring around the numbers is not the same. Also, why, in this age of Unreal Engine 5, can we not have analog sport clusters (real temp...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Added the Ford Performance (Timberline) skid plate. It will make me feel better about the occasional gravel & forest service roads. It is a sea of plastic underneath the car - plastic oil & transmission fluid reservoirs. I like having the steel plate as some protection. Install was not bad...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

No rudeness, I don't have feelings to hurt. Verdict: I am slow. I put the rear on jack-stands. The time consuming elements were removal of rear hangers (not a lot of room for hands and ratchet) as well as the removal and replacement of tie rods. This was done with a breaker bar with T40 and...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Just finished installing the Steeda anti-sway bar. This project was more a PITA than I anticipated. Perhaps I need more tools or lack talent, but it took me 5 hours in the driveway under 83 deg heat. I am a believer, at this point, that slow is fast when it comes to maintenance and repair -...

Typically, they only light in conjunction with the headlamps. If your headlamps are on automatic (light-sensing) mode, then they will be off and the fog lamps will be off too. Try switching the headlights on manually and see if your fog lamps operate.
