I don't know if it was a cost saving strategy or not, but I would be interested in Ford's logic with this. I wonder if it's something we could enable with Forscan?

When I try to put a zero in the ANC field I get a warning of a typo. If I say yes it pops a prompt that this will rewrite entire module

Glad to be of help! You are correct however I can definitely look into this for you. But please be aware, Glare-free feature was removed/deleted for the 2024+ F-150s. If your Explorer Platinum is 2020-2024 years, there is a high chance it will work once I can look into the values?

...but would like to at least peek at where the module is supposed to go and see if there is any wiring there. Or is it a different module? I don’t really care that much about the 360 cam, but if this is just a module and some reconfiguring in ForScan to get it working, might be worth looking into.

...BCM) Depress the Brake pedal several times. (another method of discharging residual voltage) Reconnect battery Reset BMS. This can be done with FORSCAN or manually with the ignition switch and a series of pedal presses. There is a video online of this procedure. Your seat should work again.
