    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

See, here's where I think you have gone astray. You said this: Why should the turbo RPM drop so much? It's spinning in excess of 140,000 RPM's, with all the mass of the compressor, turbine, and shaft also spinning. In the sub millisecond it takes for our auto trans to shift, the RPM's are...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Taken from your link: Then why do all those turbo drag cars have such short, fat pipes exiting out the hood/front fender? According to what you said above (and in the previous portion in the post you linked), they are leaving inertial energy on the table, thus not making their car as fast as...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

All I said was you didn't specify. And I didn't blame you - I even literally said that what I posted was inappropriate, and that it's on me. Are we even reading the same words? Look, seriously, I'm at a loss here. You have made up your mind about me, and that's okay. Let's move on.

In what way is it a pissing match? I see it as a disagreement on some fundamentals. If that makes it a pissing match then okay, but I'm not sure I see how. Regardless, your suggestion has merit. I am weary of discussing it. And I don't do polls.

And to be clear, you didn't specify an ST. But, I do agree that what I did come back with was not appropriate. So I'll take that one.

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

I am not ignoring science nor am I ignoring factual information. Furthermore, I am not comparing an STI exhaust to these STs, I merely gave that as an example. Though I do agree it's muddying the waters and I shouldn't have done that. And for the record, the example I gave was for a 2018 WRX...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Yah it’s an attempt to discredit me because I challenged him on something, by associating me with whomever this Firestarter person is/was. Presumably that person is banned (or at least no longer active), and I can infer (in)famous for ranting. It doesn’t matter, I’m tired of arguing. Agree to...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Okay I’m sorry then. I was trying to be helpful. I don’t have a stash of dyno charts for STs. The only thing I can offer is to go check out the dyno thread here on this site. Many of those are with aftermarket exhaust. Maybe you’ll find what you are looking for.

Alright, we are done. Have a good night.

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Well, that's what I had at the moment. It's an example of an engine responding to nothing else but a larger exhaust. So I guess I'm just killing myself then.

Okay, with you so far. But this part: Please explain how that applies to a turbo. What benefit does that produce on a turbo-charged engine? Additionally, what does an ideal exhaust look like, in your opinion, post turbine scroll?

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Sure. I'm familiar with Subarus, so here's one for a 2018 WRX. What COBB calls a "Stage 1" - it is equivalent to a stock vehicle with a tune (so think of our ST with a 5Star and no other changes) vs a "Stage 2" - the only difference being an aftermarket exhaust. COBB is a very well know OTS...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

No, I didn't just come from there. I have an account. I have posted before. But I typically don't frequent forums that much anymore. I came here because I had some questions about my ST, and my google searches led me to this site. So I figured I'd join. Why not. As for where I come from...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Yah. Okay. You are incorrect about something. I pointed it out to you. It's not personal for me. The data you are using is for NA engines, dude. I'm not the one making it personal here. I didn't say you should stay out of any certain topics. I didn't tell you that you made a nice post...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

You edited your post with the links AFTER I already replied. I can't address something that isn't was there in the first place. But now that it is...let's take a look at it. For that link, I followed it. Guess what. All they talk about are NA engines. They even talk about carbs (because...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

I dunno man. I read that like 5 times. I guess I read it wrong, and there was some other way to read it. My bad I guess. So let me get this straight. You say stuff that just isn't right. I call you on it. You then act like I'm all pissed about it. This was literally our conversation...

    Thoughts on buying used tires?

I consider tires a safety item, and thus never recommend buying used tires. As for treadwear difference, most manuals for AWD cars will state something along the lines of keeping the rolling circumference the same on all 4 tires (which means tire rotation is actually something one should keep...

    ST interior wood trim

I had a 2005 4Runner for a little while, it had wood trim inside. It was a light brown color, and I didn't really care for it. I bought one those wood trim kits you can find on sites like CarID - a nice, darker wood. I was thinking it would just overlay the existing wood trim. I was wrong...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Really? That's your response? Of course I am good. Is there a reason I shouldn't be? Yup, I saw that. I replied to it in post #48, in the last bullet point. I don't think you even bother to read anyone's post but your own! Oh I assure you, I both read and understood them. Really...

Thermal mid pipes to stock exhaust

Ahhh. Okay, gotcha. And I know exactly what you mean with the rattling from the OEM mid pipes. I had the same problem with mine, one of the reasons I went with an aftermarket exhaust. To get rid of the rattling. We even had the worm clamp "trick" on the OEM flex joints to try to stop it...
