2025 Explorer ST Experience is live

Wife and I are booked for Asheville May 28th-29th.

Honest opinion of 2025 ST. Buying a 24.

It's criminal that they removed the power steering column. Having multiple driver presets now still means different people would want to adjust the wheel to them or just say F it and roll with just one setting for everyone. Fortunately only I drive my ST , but still a 50K+ vehicle should have a...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

P3 gauge installed. Purchased from another forum member yesterday because the 2025 new interior changed up the vent design. Love the gauge, but the install was a bit of a pain in the ass. I hate anything that deals with trim.

    Cold air intakes 25 ST

Fortunately i have a 24', I think you are thinking the OP. :) On another note, really think the 25 has a chance at being un-crackable?

    Cold air intakes 25 ST

I only push things to "the extreme" personally. ;)

    Cold air intakes 25 ST

Just to add, when there is a tune available for the 2025 check with the tuner whether or not there are gains to be had with the intake. With my setup, ZFG told me that only in "race" mode which is now my "sport mode" in the drive selector would benefit from a CAI.

    New to ST

Welcome! Add the subframe bushing lockouts, massive improvement is noticed and well worth it.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Back from the shop and alignment visit. Rear slotted/drilled rotors to match the front BBK, rear sway bary, whoosh rdu bolt, JXB rdu bushing insert, PPE metal tranny pan, Eibach lowering springs. PTU, front diff, and tranny all to amsoil completing the asmsoil transition.

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

Thanks, had to use this with my alignment shop that was super confident there is no way to adjust rear camber. They later complained "why don't they use eccentric bolts it would be easier".

Back to Ford after a 5 year hiatus

Welcome. I'm an ex-Subaru myself. Had a WRX and more recently forester XT (with the wrx engine). This is my first Ford and I'm loving it. If you decide to start modding and getting a tune , I warn you it is quite addictive!

    Oil Change

Did mine at 1000 miles. Makes me feel good. There's a youtube vid out there with a dude that has basically devoted his life to oil with testing showing that an early oil change on a new vehicle is wise. Then again there's a lot out there and its up to you to go with what makes you feel better...

    Rear differential leaking

My guess is water ingress into the subframe component that the bushing is pressed into. Maybe it's getting in on the top and trickling down, or making it's way in around the bushing itself. Then it builds up and slowly drips for days after you drive through the rain or maybe a drive-through car...

2023 ST with oil leaking around right rear tire, coming from the shock?

They sure do, seems Ford is happy to keep putting on whatever batch of bad suspension struts and shocks and just wait for the warranty claims instead of starting from scratch and replacing their inventory with known good. This problem seems to be happening since the ST debut.

    Eibachs Installed on my ‘25

I have the set sitting in my garage to get installed, can't wait!

What grade of gas do you put in your ST?

Yea , just take the 3.0 nano further with higher capacity turbos, more fueling, and all forged internals and call it a day. Basically headroom to let her have a long life in the 600’s. Of course with the 10r80 and better rdu.

Metal in Oil at 50k Miles

Ever get that oil analysis done?

What grade of gas do you put in your ST?

That would be rad, but I doubt it would ever happen. I think the ST came along purely because they were basically making them already as the police interceptor and figured why not cash in on some additional retail sales and keep the assembly lines busy. I do wish they had put the 10R80 and...

    ST vs. The Competition

Those germans know how to get power out of a twin turbo engine for sure, but of course you pay for it! To be fair, he had an extra liter of engine displacement on you. Many of those engines can handle 700-800whp on stock internals with a stage 3 mod setup. I was so tempted to go the route of a...

What grade of gas do you put in your ST?

I keep a few bottles of octane boost in the back, just in case I have a brain lapse or am traveling somewhere that only has 91. With the ZFG 93 tune its kinda necessary.
