Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

If you press the traction control button, It cycles Traction Control on and off so you can let the tires get rowdy. However, if you hold it for about 5 seconds, a slide bar will pop on your instrument cluster that will say “Hold to disable AdvanceTrac.” Once finished, this will disable Traction...

Anyone get frustrated with people thinking you are a cop?

Yes. It’s frustrating when you need to get somewhere in a hurry, and sometimes just when you’re having fun. Normally people in the Phoenix area drive,10-15 over the speed limit. But a couple years ago, Arizona Highway Patrol switched to silver Tahoes and Explorers. I have a silver ST. I didn’t...

UPR catch can and orange fitting solution.

That's correct! The initial UPR video shows the blue fittings throughout. Even the folks on newer how-to videos and PDF instructions have not shown the whole process, and some have shown that they have broken the orange one's detents. IMHO the orange clips don't warrant your time and energy when...

It should have been plan B, instead it ended up being plan J... Just rip that @$%#! out! LOL.

    Oil Catch Can Thread

I just threw my UPR Catch Can in this weekend. I had everything but the clean side separator done and zip-tied in under 30 minutes. Then spent at least an hour, on two separate occasions, trying to get that orange fitting off. I tried using a pick, using a fuel line release tool, making my own...

    More H&R Springs

Awesome! I’m excited! Mine just came in... Hoping for cooler weather or to find a shop that’s willing to throw them in on the cheap! It’s still in the high 90’s through 10pm in Phoenix.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

I really like your build page, because I can gauge exactly what I like or dislike on the same color/trim... but it's killing my future budget because I haven't disliked anything so far. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see what the slick-top looks like on Iconic Silver!

    Bang & Olufsen Sound Settings

I’ve noticed that if you push the balance forward I tick or two, it will sound a little better at most volumes. Just like the upholstery padding and the lack of ventilation, the rear passengers usually get shafted with lesser quality or sized door speakers. I haven’t had the door cards off to...

    Ford Performance Racing School

For those of you that have gone, who did you take? The letter says you and a guest. My wife is not a “car-girl”. Does Ford plan for the guest to have the same amount of time to drive during track time? I’m trying to decide if I should take my wife, or a buddy...

MagnaFlow Muffler/Resonator Swap and Stock Muffler Delete

The OEM resonator is a straight through design. You may hear a small difference in tone, but you will not hear a difference in volume by solely replacing the resonator. Your volume will come from removing the twin mufflers. I think if you want noise, without the drone of straight-pipes, a...

    Hood Vents / Louvers

Maybe cut it out around the vent and secure it with RTV/Gasket material...? Maybe remove it and see if there is an discernible level of noise after intake and exhaust...? Short answer: I don't know.

How many people warm up their Explorer ST before driving?

My vehicles all get full synthetic and I live in Arizona. I drive with a rule, I take it easy in my neighborhood and near work, and fairly easy in public parking lots. So, by the time I’m loaded in, I just take off. Now, my ‘76 K5 gets a 5-10 minute warm up, otherwise the carb sputters.

    Your ST's pet name??

I like that! I wanted a white one for that reason, but couldn't find one configured with the street pack and the sunroof, without the tech pack...
