ST SUV Experience - Asheville - 5/26-5/27 - Write Up

One thing to note especially if you make your stay a couple of extra days like a weekend from it, we went down on a Saturday while the event day was the following Tuesday. We were able to use the breakfast coupons anytime and since we had an extra night stay used it the following morning before...

Borla S Type vs MBRP Armor Pro

I am happy with my S-Type.

    Brake too high

Those look scary, I would never try something like that especially in an emergency braking situation. What's even worse is Item# 10 in their legal disclaimer. 10.DriFeez Gas & Brake Pedal Extenders YCQ-100 has not been evaluated and approved by the FDA, please consider carefully before buying...

I've got a Check Engine Light

Good to know. On the other hand, myself being a competent operator of firearms, if this is how you use the flashlight you are just increasing unnecessary risks for a negligent discharge. I am sure you could have found something better to use.

    Random foam found.

Thanks Kansas. Guess I will blame you for not being able to sleep anymore until those wires shred and the truck catches on fire. ;)

    Random foam found.

Please help identify this item, hope it is not what should be holding the rear axle together. Found this random piece of foam on top of the drivers side fender well below the headlight assembly. Any guesses?

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Is there anyone here that has the 2 bolt subframe AND falls within this recall since it goes all the way back to 2018 when 2 bolt frames were being produced?

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Request more information prior to speculation. Is there a recall number or something to reference the exact details?

    Tail light removal

No need to remove the BIG Torx bolts from what I remember. Hardest part is the pin that is forward to the front of the truck on the lens assembly. I ended up using a towel and small screwdriver to pry out, with a lot of praying not to scratch the paint. After I watched some YouTube videos to...

    Trouble with exhaust rattle

Have the S-Type that had the same problem. Had them trim the studs and now they have plenty of clearance, somewhere in here there is a post where small silicone caps were put over the studs. My current problem though is not the studs but the large frame bolt near the rear end of the muffler...

    Reverse lights

I can confirm there are no issues with the reverse light selection and they are very bright. I did not like how the taillights come out and was concerned I might damage the assembly where it clips in at the most forward area towards the front of the truck by just pulling out. Ended up using a...

    Little change big difference

Did the same to mine and think it is a huge improvement. Did you torque the the manufacture recommend torque of 150 lb.ft?? Seems high to me but I followed their recommendations.

    Rim damage

Wife did the same thing but worse. Believe it or not I took a black Sharpie to it and only I was able to notice unless you really look for it, marker fades after a couple months but it worked great. Eventually I plan to buy some touch up paint for a more permanent solution but it has been a...
