    Oil change

Nope, there is an oil cap back further on the other side. Nothing is real easy to get to but not too difficult either.

    Post your Dragy times.

That's why I went with the 20" wheels. I knew, all things being equal, that it would be slightly faster in straight line performance.

    Oil change

I prefer the oil extraction method some have mentioned and use any quality filter with Mobil 1 Extended Performance every 10K miles.

Battery Saver Mode and Door Pad Entry

Just want to add that I use the keypad exclusively. Wife will also use her phone to start on occasion. No real issues and keyfob has not been touched in over six months.

    2020 heated windshield

Better to have and not need, then to need and not have.

    Massage seats?

Not a problem at all on my 2020, well at least not yet, haha. I am thinking the 2020 will be a collectors item at some point.

    Gremlins

It is close to Halloween, could be haunted. Seriously, I bought my 2020 brand new and yes it has been towed a few times at the expense of Ford, but the Service Depts. came through for me. One thought about the feeling of a football in your seat, seems you have turned your massaging seats on.

    New recall?

My Service Dept informed me that they have to send in pictures to Ford in order to get the parts right away. They did on mine and had parts within a week or two. They replaced the left side catalytic converter and some clamps.

    Exhaust smell

Again, it is most likely the catalytic converter. My dealer even showed me a printout from Ford on what to replace when a customer mentions that they have an exhaust smell in their vehicle.

    Result from dealer service center.

All modern vehicles have this to prevent you from putting the vehicle in gear without applying the brakes. My previous 67' Camaro, not so much.

4WD Service Fault and Advance Trac needs service

Yes, known as a love/hate relationship. Likely the sensor in the front axle, something like that. Just ask that they install the new one properly as I had gear oil everywhere when the o-ring was installed incorrectly. Another expense Ford had to cover as it had to be towed.

Battery Saver Mode and Door Pad Entry

Also would like any details about this issue as my keys never leave the center console. You are also saying that you can't start the ST with your phone once it goes into sleep mode?

    Exhaust smell

Yes, I had an exhaust smell in my 2020 ST for several months. I was very close to getting rid of it and then found out it was most likely the left side catalytic converter. Service writer looked it up and said a recall had just come out (this has been sometime ago) and based on my indicating...

    Bad MPG

Are you possibly a comedian? Any chance you are the type of person that brakes with their left foot and forgets that they are pressing the brake continuously?

A New Member of the Broken Seat Club

Same here Autoworker. I actually met you there. My driver's side panel was really loose at about 35K miles and dealer replaced under warranty, no questions asked. I have an extended warranty that Ford provided for free, but I did not want to take the chance of this part not being covered after...

    Family hauler upgraded!

When getting in and out of the ST there is too much pressure being applied to the plastic trim panel where the controls are housed. Eventually the panel will come loose and may just sort of hang there if not fixed.

    Family hauler upgraded!

Congratulations on your purchase. I am not going to make any negative comments, as we love our ST. That said, just a few issues to keep you informed. You will have a slight rattle upon start up. I believe this is normal. If it hasn't been done already, most 2020's will need the left side...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Just had mine replaced at the dealer under warranty. I have also looked at the 2022"s and they do not have the plastic trim piece this runs along the front of the seat like the 2020's.
