    DEBUT ONE-OF-A KIND EXTREME ST

    DEBUT ONE-OF-A KIND EXTREME ST

Maybe I'm not following the link correctly, but where does it say anything about HP Tuners?

    Gas splash back when refueling?

IMO your dealer is not diagnosing this problem correctly. A build up of pressure like that has to be in the evap system, not the fuel neck or tank. I'm assuming it's not throwing any codes for the purge solenoid or tank pressure sensor. I'd be looking for a kink in the line from the tank to...

    Driver's Side Window Issue

That's pretty slick. I had no idea they had that sort of adaptivity built in. Kudos on the find.

    Driver's Side Window Issue

While the chrome peeling off doesn't have anything to do with the "switch", the switch could also be the culprit. As far as that goes, it could also be the motor. A good tech will probably replace everything.

    Driver's Side Window Issue

There is something out of alignment. The electric motors are designed to retract the window when it faces an obstruction so it doesn't (for example) pinch some kid's neck. Take it in and have them check for binding.

    4wd temporarily disabled

In sport mode, it locks up the FWD when accelerating and unlocks when decelerating- all of which makes perfect sense if you're on a racetrack. It also explains why heat would build up with the wet clutches in the transfer case during a long drive in hilly terrain (I didn't assume offroad). I...

    4wd temporarily disabled

If you look at the "awd animation" in the various modes, you'll see it's engaging the FWD clutches more in Sport mode than in Normal or Tow modes. So there is a lot more engagement/disengagement of the clutches. That would definitely lead to more heat IMO. I doubt anyone drove around in the...

Curious what mode you were in? Sport? Tow?

    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

It's obviously haunted. Poltergeists have taken over. Sell it immediately. The very fact that non-moving headlights move is proof of supernatural behavior.

    Something Different

I'm with you, and noticed the exact same thing. Not that it's not an attractive font, but it doesn't match anything else on the ST. And, if you'll pardon me being a bit artistic for a second, any font of that type looks like it belongs on an Italian exotic- not a Porsche either!

    4wd temporarily disabled

Never seen it but, it does indicate overheating.... https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=4163&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&Uid=G1724555&ProcUid=G1724557&userMarket=USA&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False Have you switched tires recently?

    Gearhead Tuned ~ 21' ST

It has been a long time since automakers used aluminized steel exhaust. Most of them use 409 stainless. There might be a few cheapo cars I'm not aware of, but that went out in the 90's.

    levels performance cooler

The hotter the air, the more water vapor it can contain. Depending on the circumstances, when the temperature is lowered, that water vapor will condense to the cooler surface. Put a cold glass of beer outside in summer in humid Florida and watch the glass get wet and start forming a ring. Do...

"lost" 3rd gear while data logging

Most vehicles have various strategies to limit torque to protect components. However, I'm don't believe anyone would program the trans to drop into a "neutral" mode just to bounce off the rev limiter when the vehicle could just cut fuel, open waste gates, or pull timing to achieve the same result.

    Hard shifts

With only 1200 miles, I'd give it some time. For example, if most of the driving is taking place at highway speeds, then you're not getting much in the way of "learning" (if you can call it that).

    Moonroof wind deflector pics

I've had four vehicles with sun/moon roofs. Every single one had some sort of problem. I'll pass.

"lost" 3rd gear while data logging

It's obvious that the bands/clutches were slipping. Check the trans fluid, it it dark? Does it have a bitter/burned smell? You might want to consider a fluid change if so. You are probably right, just too hot.

    Hard shifts

There are TSBs related to the problem, your dealer can find these. Most likely they also apply to your 2021 as well. TSB 10183420 Some 2020 Explorer/Aviator/Police Interceptor Utility vehicles equipped with a 10R60/10R80 automatic transmission may exhibit a harsh engagement/harsh shift/delayed...

    Got it. Thanks.
