    ST interior wood trim

You should do whatever YOU want to do. Keep in mind though, unless you're keeping it forever, a buyer may not have the same taste.

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

"Additionally, I would argue that the OEM 2.25" dual exhaust is the minimum for 400 CRANK hp. Which makes sense: Ford would have designed exactly to the power output of the engine and no larger, because larger means more cost for little to no benefit. But the second one starts going over 400...

    SCT X4 tuner information

You're looking at about 50hp between 93 and e50. No idea of the 0-60 difference since that depends more on launch.

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

It seems interesting that you would include info from Corky Bell only to say "he was mistaken", but look up a 30 year old post from a Garrett engineer on a (Tercel?) site that you think agrees with you. I would totally agree with the Garret engineer's post (and you) that a turbo exhaust is...

    Thoughts on buying used tires?

If they're not far off it's not going to hurt the AWD system. I don't know what the tolerance is but if it was only 1/16", that would be less than a couple pounds of air difference in the tires.

    Cousins! 2020 Lincoln Aviator

Once you read that thread, don't be too upset at the conclusion- which was that he decided to sell the car. Having a 10 second daily driver is very, very difficult. If you have a 2020, you probably have a factory BOV. After that it was deleted. Some people add them for the "whoosh" sound...

    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

Rather than just do this debate again, read this thread, especially these three posts: https://www.explorerst.org/threads/for-those-thinking-about-a-performance-exhaust-system.2775/post-33847 https://www.explorerst.org/threads/for-those-thinking-about-a-performance-exhaust-system.2775/post-43705...

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Sure, assuming you can calculate shear modulus, polar rate of inertia, and the easy part, the length!

    Ethanol/Exhaust Question

First thing I would look for is small exhaust leak that goes away as the exhaust system tightens up as it warms up.

    Ethanol/Exhaust Question

I read through the info you provided in your link as I have hundreds of other SAE papers on similar subjects. And when you post about "catch can" issues, I'm betting your ethanol has in some form been contaminated by water. If you read through the paper it also says " It is noted that the...

    Ethanol/Exhaust Question

I'm not saying you're making s... up. I just can't figure out any logical or mechanical reason you would be hearing "pop and crackle" at low speeds. And, the ECU is not "adjusting", at least not in those ways. Assuming you're correct in your hearing, it would have to be something else. Are...

    Ethanol/Exhaust Question

I have no idea what your idea of "exhaust burble behavior" is. But at "parking lot speeds" (which I assume is low speed operation at partial throttle), I simply can not envision any possible reason that the sound would be different.

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

Having read hundreds of posts from @GearHead_1, I do not think this was as personal as you are taking it.

    Check your plugs

And just because I'm sometimes mystified, bewildered, and flummoxed by certain things, why would anyone running an ethanol tune use a colder plug?

    Check your plugs

Back in the day of carburetors, machining problems, and iron heads, yeah, 5k miles was very possible for plugs. I think 30k miles is not a problem with a direct injected engine with aluminum heads. As far as "best plug", the newer ruthenium or iridium plugs are going to last longer, but copper...

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

When you post "Shift on the Fly" does this mean changes in Tunes (91, 93, E50, etc.) on the fly like the VAG tuners can do?

    2wd ST

I have posted before about the RWD ST version. Here is a thread on the subject with various opinions.

    2wd ST

No LSD on the rear. That's a big downside to the RWD. However, it does use the ABS to intervene so it's not so noticeable, but without the LSD it's never going to be able to dig as well as the AWD.
