What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Today I installed PUI rear shocks, the stock ones blew out at about 17k miles with oil everywhere and thumping noises going over bumps. It's so much better now!

    PIU struts/shocks

That website says they fit and are in stock, but that is questionable since the Bilstein site still states they do not make shocks for this platfrom. My piu's for the rear should be delivered tomorrow so I will wait until I can replace all four with Bilstein or KYB's.

    Air Pressue 22's

I also run 32 psi, the door plate says 33 psi but it gets pretty hot here in Sacramento!

Anyone else find the GPS worthless?

It looks like I already did with no issues, but I haven't taken a trip since: SYNC GenerationSYNC 3 SYNC Version3.4.22251 But I hope they do something soon!

    Has Anyone Else?

Wow good to know! I had an '82 Capri (Mustang) that would do the same thing with a 1/8th tank and stall on a small hill, now I drive around with at least 1/2 tank in all my vehicles!

Anyone else find the GPS worthless?

I actually like the GPS in our ST better than Google Maps. I use it around town and on long trips across several states with no issues. Google Maps never noted that we stopped at one of our pre-programmed stops at a gas station and told us to turn around for an hour before I finally turned it...

    Has Anyone Else?

I've been running different size tires so I don't know what my actual mileage is, but I would still rather drive the ST than my Honda!

    Has Anyone Else?

That's impressive, on our last trip to CO after fill up it said 485 miles to empty...but I had to stop to pee lol!

    Performance Alignment Specs?

I don't think there's that much adjustment on the front of the ST so stock settings are probably best. For my '87 GT I had Maximum Motorsports camber caster plates that had plenty of adjustments and settings for street/performance and track settings. With Eibacs, KYB's, and tubular control arms...

    Ford Performance Tune

I agree, there are better tunes out there but the FP tune is perfect for our daily driver. It's much more responsive and plenty of fun to drive.

    Steeda springs vs H&R springs

TJ you have been the best with customer service and Steeda parts are amazing. But even some KYB's would be better than the stock shocks, I can't even drive my ST right now because the right rear shock has leaked out and completely frozen up. Every bump thumps the rear end at only 16K miles. I...

Ordered the Steeda Diff Brace and intercooler

Nice! Let us know what you think about the Steeda Diff Brace, I have the AWR but that looks really solid.
